Sweet treat for Leicester drivers
In recognition of the invaluable work local bus drivers are carrying out, Centrebus drivers and cleaning staff in Leicester along with those at other local bus companies have been presented with doughnuts from local supplier Krispy Kreme. The delivery was arranged by Cllr Melissa March who represents the Knighton ward on Leicester City Council.
Centrebus managing director Matt Evans says: “I’m very proud of our driving team who are carrying out a fantastic job during these challenging times and I’m was very pleased to see their key work is being recognised by others.
“I’m sure our drivers will be welcome the appreciation shown to them by Krispy Kreme and Cllr March and will relish the taste of the doughnuts – and may even share them with their families at home.”
He adds: “While we recognise these are challenging times, we know people rely on our local bus services, many of which are a vital lifeline for our elderly and vulnerable customers.”
