London Bus Museum’s Spring Gathering is ‘far from certain’

The London Bus Museum advises this afternoon that it is “far from certain” that this year’s Spring Gathering on Sunday 5 April will go ahead.

The museum is currently working normally, but it says the future of all major events on the Brooklands Museum site is under discussion and this includes the Spring Gathering and also a Mini Day this coming Sunday.

“With many museum events and running days around the country being cancelled or postponed, the likelihood of Spring Gathering going ahead is far from certain,” it says.

The London Bus Museum’s trustees are meeting today to decide if the museum can continue to open, as many of its volunteers are in the “at risk” groups and also to decide if this year’s Spring Gathering — normally one of the biggest opening events of the rally and running day season — is practical.
