Coronavirus: Barry running days cancelled

The list of events cancelled because of the coronavirus crisis has grown again this afternoon with the Cardiff Transport Preservation Group announcing that its running day planned for Barry on Sunday 3 May will not now happen.

It has also taken the decision to cancel the Barry Festival of Transport scheduled for Sunday 14 June.

Besides enthusiast events – four notified to us in the past 24hr – at least two trade events have also been cancelled. An Alexander Dennis/Plaxton customer sales day on 2 April and the multi-modal ITT Hub freight and passenger transport show at Farnborough in May. Alexander Dennis hopes to stage its event later this year, while the inaugural ITT Hub will now be in May 2021.
