The Starlight Spectacular at Crich Tramway Village in Derbyshire running Monday 23 to – Saturday 28 October, is an opportunity to see the Village illuminated and ride vintage trams running in the dark.

The official Lights Switch On will take place on 23 October at 19.00 with Coronation Street actor Oliver Farnworth, who plays Andy Carver in the popular soap. Oli’s first feature film – Love Type D – is due out on release soon.

Event organiser Alison Isaacs says: “The Starlight Spectacular has proved so popular over the years that we are repeating it and adding more activities each year. We’re delighted that Oliver Farnworth has agreed to perform the official light switch on for us.”

Children dressing in Super Heroes costumes will get free admission on Thursday 26 October.

Trams will run until 20.00 on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday and until 19.00 on Tuesday and Wednesday. There will be Starlight themed buffets on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 16.30 to 19.00. Pre-bookings are required by 16 October for these by calling: 01773 854349.
